The over-the-counter pain reliever can help with pain and inflammation as well. If you feel worse taking the pain reliever, stop taking it immediately. Stretch Your Heels

Stretching your heels with a variety of stretches can help ease your pain. Stretch your heels using a bottle of water that you roll beneath your foot. Roll it back and forth with your foot, paying attention to your heels as you roll the bottle. You can also stretch your foot by pressing the toes and pad of your foot into the wall and applying pressure to the foot. This will help stretch your arch and your heel. Repeat both stretches on the other foot.

Add Inserts To Your Shoes

Add inserts to your shoes to offer you more cushion and support for your feet. You can find inserts at your local store, or you can discuss different types of inserts with your podiatrist. Use the inserts in all of your shoes to give you the cushion and support you need.

Change The Shoes You Are Wearing

Make a change to the shoes you are wearing. If you're wearing old shoes, update them with new ones that aren't worn out and are not offering you support. If you wear high heels, you need to stop wearing them and wear shorter heels instead. Higher heels push the foot forward and can lead to pain in the entire foot. Flat shoes that don't offer any support in the soles are also footwear you should avoid wearing.
